To the people of motion imagery, We are killing our selves with the speed of technology. I am asking everyone why I am seeing movies that have potential to be amazing and the means of a good story get murdered by the Rock star theme of just getting it done. You are not at all cooler than you were when you just had a script I promise you. Take your time, shoot the movie right, Use the proper resources and equipment and for god sake pay your crew.
ITS SIMPLE, If you take your time and shoot it right you will be able to present a piece that people can actually watch, and
NO ONE GIVES A FUCK WHAT YOU SHOT IT ON, let me repeat that
NO ONE GIVES A FUCK WHAT YOU SHOT IT ON
It's going to ruin the face of filmmaking if you can sell a script just because you have a follow-focus that fits a photography camera, You are killing yourself and you don't even know it. If you are able to shoot on cheaper shit and Producer don't have to get a-lot of money that just means your rate will get smaller.
Look I understand you'll do anything to follow your dreams but, Take your time, Learn your craft, Learn from the Veterans that where here way before you and another thing:
JUST BECAUSE YOU ARE A FILM STUDENT DOES NOT MEAN YOU CAN SEE IN TO THE FUTURE.
I can tell you this right now. If I wanted to know what's going to change the face of filmmaking I would ask the people that make movie's not watch them.
